Very few people knew that Jean-Marc Généreux, speaker and dynamic character with colorful expressions and costumes, is a Quebecer. This is perhaps the result of his out-of-the-ordinary profession in the exciting world of dance that led him to travel around the world and share his passion with as many people as possible.
His international reputation is renowned, thanks to his participation to successful TV shows, namely: So you think you can dance (FOX), So you think you can dance Canada (CTV), Danse avec les stars (TF1) and, since 2018, he is one of the three judges of the TV show called: Révolution on TVA. Jean-Marc really wants to share with us the valuable life lessons that dance taught him over the years.

Jean-Marc Généreux’s Biography :
His whole journey began in the province of Quebec, where Jean-Marc started dancing recreationally at a very young age. In 6 years, his partner (France Mousseau) and he won the national and regional championships in the competitive social dancing category and 8 years in a row in the international category. Overall, they won more than 100 competitions and all the major amateur championships in large cities throughout North America.
At the junior level, they competed in Europe and were the very first Canadians to take part to 10 World Championships, where they stood out by winning many of them.
Their career reached an important milestone when Jean-Marc and France got married and began competing at the professional level. They shined even more brightly and won numerous championships all across Canada, the United States, and all over the world.
Recognized as a reference in their field, Jean-Marc and France took part to several TV shows, namely: So you think you can dance (FOX), So you think you can dance Canada (CTV), Danse avec les Stars (TF1) and Tout le monde danse (ÉVASION).
Furthermore, it is important to mention the wide range of appearances of Jean-Marc Généreux on television and in movies, whether it was as a judge, choreographer, dancer, or actor. To name a few, he appeared in the TV show called: Le Grand Saut (V), DEGRASSI next Generation (CTV) and in the movie called: Shall We Dance, starring Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez.
Jean-Marc Généreux, speaker, is also a choreographer at national and international levels for dance teams, kids, couples, dance studios, or individual artists. He also contributed to university programs, such as: BYU Provo Utah and worked on stage with the BEYONG BALLROOM company in Minneapolis, MN.
Jean-Marc supports numerous causes, namely: Le Phare, the only establishment in Quebec that offers paediatric palliative care and temporary accommodation for disabled or seriously ill children. Jean-Marc’s daughter, Francesca, has Rett syndrome and he knows how demanding and tiring it can be to take care of a severely handicapped child.
