Martin Deschamps’s Biography :
First of all, Martin Deschamps’ musical career began in 1996, when he won the ‘‘Best Singer’’ Award from the Empire des futures stars singing contest. His lively performance allowed him to perform alongside the rock band called: Offenbach, in order to take over Gerry Boulet as a backup singer. Then, he began touring with them for a series of 50 concerts…
Later on, Martin promptly wanted to make his own rock music and recorded an album called: ‘‘Comme je suis’’ (2000), the debut solo album that led him to hold a special place in Quebec’s musical industry.
In 2001, Martin released his second album: ‘‘Différent’’ which earned him the ‘‘Show of the year / Singer-Songwriter-Composer’’ Award at the ADISQ Gala.
As of 2002, he took part to the recording of the L’Odyssée d’Alice Tremblay soundtrack on which he recorded two songs. Moreover, he performed hundreds of concerts all across the province of Quebec as well as in France, where he was praised by both critics and the public.
Then, he returned to Quebec and recorded a third album called: ‘‘Le Désert’’ (2003).
Later on that year, Martin recorded and produced the ‘‘Intense’’ album as well as his biography, called: ‘‘Portrait d’un rocker’’ (Éditions au Carré).
Furthermore, Martin Deschamps, speaker, has been the Quebec week of the disabled official spokesperson for the past few years and has been involved in numerous large-scale projects. In 2005, he was entrusted with the creation and production of Les Boys IV theme song called: ‘‘Es-tu un boys?’’
In March 2010, Martin was invited to perform at the Vancouver Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony, where he sang in front of 60,000 people.
Then, on October 18, 2010, Martin wanted to mark his 20-year musical career and his 40th birthday by launching his 7th rock album called: ‘‘On veut la paix’’.
