THE ASCENT TOWARDS YOUR GOALS – From Mont Tremblant to Mount Everest
From his very first hike at the age of 12 at Mont Tremblant all the way to climbing Mount Everest, numerous mountain expeditions marked the journey of Nic Dumesnil, speaker. His life has been packed with thrilling adventures such as: a resuscitation attempt at a 6,500 metre altitude, going back to Base Camp, even though the summit was less than 2 hours walking distance, being trapped in an electrical storm on a glacier, experiencing Nepal’s devastating earthquake… All of these key experiences and moments force someone to make crucial decisions, to react quickly, and adjust their focus. Furthermore, no one ever decides overnight to climb Mount Everest. Hence, it takes years of preparation at the very least, where one must climb one mountain at a time and remain motivated and goal-oriented.
With the help of breathtaking videos and pictures, this conference offers a quick overview of the world and its mountains, before heading off to the highest peaks of all: Mount Everest. The ascent to the roof of the world and the whole preparation process is a tremendous challenge. Are you ready for an epic adventure?

This presentation is inspired by trips and adventures from anywhere around the world, but also by the day-to-day life in Africa. High quality pictures and videos are presented and display multiple aspects of the planet. This conference is intended to be warm and friendly.
Nic Dumesnil’s Biography :
For Nic Dumesnil, speaker, the desire to climb Mount Everest began in 1997, when he attended a presentation on that topic. On that day, a dream was born and remained with him for years. Obviously, it took many years for Nic to make his dream come true. Furthermore, he was only 13 years old in 1997.
First, before he could take on the Mount Everest expedition, he climbed mountains on 5 different continents and hiked hundreds of trails. More precisely, he ascended over 12 mountains rising between 5,000 & 6,000 metres in altitude.
Since his earliest days, he was drawn to travelling and dedicated his life and decision making in developing travel plans. Thus, Nic travelled around the world for over 2 years, and lived (and worked) in Western Africa for more than 3 years. Even though he visited over 50 countries, Nic keeps on exploring the planet.
As a chartered accountant that worked in 3 different countries, Nic pursues his professional career by combining his passion for travelling and developing his entrepreneurial spirit.
