Steve Waterhouse’s Biography :

It was during his military career with the Royal 22e Régiment that Capt (ret) Waterhouse traded the gun with the keyboard to become one of the first cyber-soldiers in the country. After working to train soldiers and officers in combat arms, he dedicated himself to managing the QGSQFT computer networks, then the Metropolitan network of the Montreal base. Subsequently, he was made the first Information Systems Security Officer at the Montreal base and then at the Royal Military College in Saint-Jean. Mr. Waterhouse continued his quest for knowledge with private enterprise, shared his military and public speaking experience with Canada’s youth cadet movement, and started his consulting service business: INFOSECSW. He continues to share his passion and experience as a lecturer with the University of Sherbrooke in the graduate microprogram in computer security – prevention component. He is also invited to contribute his experience with the committees of the Canadian House of Commons and the Government of Quebec and is frequently asked by the Canadian news media to comment on cybersecurity issues.
