About Claude Guévin

Claude Guévin, speaker, served as President of Groupe Lou-Tec Inc. from 2012 to 2018. Lou-Tec is the largest network of heavy machinery, equipment, and tool rental centers in Eastern Canada. During his tenure, Mr. Guévin led three major mergers and acquisitions and drove annual company growth of over 15%, the highest in the industry.

Over the previous 25 years, Claude Guévin held various positions at Rona, including Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer starting in 2001. He played a central role in strategic decision-making and was a key architect in transforming the company from a cooperative into a national leader with over $6 billion in sales. He also oversaw Rona’s first public offering and stock market listing.

A recognized negotiation expert, he completed more than 30 major acquisitions in Canada generating $3.5 billion in sales and led the real estate development and construction of big-box stores across the country.

Claude Guévin was named CFO of the Year by CFO Canada in 2008. He currently serves as Vice-President of the Fondation Marie-Vincent and the Marie-Vincent Centre of Expertise. With extensive experience in both private and public companies in retail and distribution, he excels at creating innovative business plans.
