ITS BEGINNINGS
Patricia Paquin entered the artistic world at a very young age. At six months old, she had her first audition for a nappy commercial. At the age of four, she shot her first commercial for Red Rose Tea. Until the end of her teenage years, she took part in more than fifty commercials and, at the age of 11, she made a film in France for TF1 and Radio-Canada entitled “Le Mystère de St-Chorlu”.
During her high school years, she also modeled for flyers such as Zellers, The Bay, Eaton’s, etc.
TELEVISION
Later, Patricia appeared on television ashostin youth programs such as GymTonik, 0340 and Livraison Spéciale. But it was her role as Geneviève in the popular soap opera Chambres en ville, which ran from 1989 to 1996, that established her place in the Quebec television landscape. After a year at the helm of TVA’s Star Plus in 1995, she settled in for the next eleven years at the helm of Flash, the cultural reference in Quebec, broadcast on TQS.
THE RADIO
She then made the leap to radio with Sébastien Benoit at “Bonheur est à quatre heures” on Rythme FM.
After six years of daily performances, she left for new challenges. In particular, she offered about a hundred performances of the play “Les EX” across Quebec with her ex-spouse Mathieu Gratton, with whom she had a child in 2001; Benjamin. As her son has a pervasive developmental disorder on the autism spectrum, Patricia is also involved in several events to inform the general public about this condition and, above all, about resources and developments.
At the same time, she was in charge of the women’s magazine “Moi&cie” from 2006 to 2015. In 2015, she returned to the radio as the host of “Patricia Paquin le weekend” on ROUGE. In 2017, ROUGE invited her to host a brand new show: Flash-Le Tapis Rouge.
In 2017, she took on the challenge of becoming the spokesperson and partner of a brand new skin care line, entirely made in Quebec: “ELE by ELLE R COSMETIQUES”. Involved from creation to marketing, this project is undoubtedly one of the ones she is most proud of.
Patricia is also the recipient of two Artis trophies and a Gémeaux for best cultural host. A committed woman, she participated in Opération Enfant-Soleil for 13 years and has been a spokesperson for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada since 2003. Her older sister Caroline has MS.
She has been married since 2014 to chef Louis-François Marcotte and together they have two children; Gabriel, born in 2010 and Florence born in 2015.
