In music, the first beat is the first note, the one that gives the cadence, the tone, the rhythm. Without the first beat, no melody is possible. In a symphony orchestra, without the first beat, no synchronicity is possible. Without the first beat, there is cacophony.
First time is also the etymological definition of the word “spring”! Spring, especially here in Canada, after a long, harsh winter, is synonymous with awakening, departure, revival and joie de vivre.
When spring arrives, we feel like doing everything. We clean inside and outside. We plant flowers, paint, decorate, renovate, etc. Spring also means nature wakes up, flowers bloom and grass grows.
It is also the time when the most transactions take place. More houses are sold in spring. More cars, trucks, boats, bikes, etc. sell in the spring. People go outside, talk to their neighbours, do outdoor activities. Spring is life with a capital V.
Of course, spring is also a good time to dream, plan, undertake and realize our projects.
I once read that to be happy, a human being needs at least five projects in front of him. Five projects. Not one, not two, FIVE!
Projects that keep you busy. It doesn’t matter if they are personal, professional or family projects. What matters is to have them.
In the spring of 2017, do you have five projects in motion ahead of you? What are they? Do they allow you to be happy and hopeful? Do they allow you to be busy doing them instead of worrying about what the future holds? Yes?
Good for you! This is a sign that your spring (first period) is preparing a beautiful symphony.
Happy spring!
