Martin Deschamps ‘ musical career took off in 1996, when he won the title of best singer at the Empire of Future Stars. This performance allowed him to join the rock band Offenbach, to take over the vocal duties of Gerry Boulet. He then went on tour with the band for a series of 50 shows…
Martin ‘s desire to make his own rock quickly led to the recording of Comme je suis (2000), a first solo album that earned him a place of choice in the Quebec musical universe.
In 2001, the artist released his second album, Différent , which won him the Félix Spectacle de l’année / Auteur-compositeur-interprète at the ADISQ.
Then, in 2002, he participated in the recording of the soundtrack of Alice Tremblay’s film L’Odyssée, on which he performed two songs. He has performed several hundred shows on his tour of Quebec and even a few in France, where he has been appreciated by critics and the public.
Then, back in Quebec, Martin prepared the release of his third album: Le Désert (2003).
The following autumn was devoted to the production of the album Intense and the biography of Martin, entitled Portrait d’un rocker (Éditions au Carré).
In addition to being the official spokesperson for the Semaine québécoise des personnes handicapées for the past few years, Martin Deschamps, speaker, is also active on a number of other large-scale projects. In fall 2005, he was commissioned to create and produce the theme song for the film Les Boys IV, entitled Es-tu un boys?
In March 2010, Martin was asked to perform at the opening of the Vancouver Paralympic Games where he sang in front of 60,000 people.
Finally, on October 18, 2010, to mark his twenty-year career as well as his fortieth birthday, Martin is back and in great shape with On veut la paix, a seventh album with a more rock sound than ever
