Fascinated by the business of sport, Sasha Ghavamispeaker, is a self-confessed sports nerd. A member of the Quebec Bar, Sasha combines his two passions, law and sports. Despite his young age, he has managed to carve out a place for himself in the exclusive circle of NFL agents. Sasha always wanted to become a player’s agent. In fact, by the age of 12, he was already watching all the sports news bulletins, in both English and French.

With his age being both an ally and an enemy, Sasha Ghavami has earned respect by being honest and forthright. “You can always make your mark, no matter what. If you perform well, you will get your chance. That applies on the field as well as in the office. After his talk, you will remember words like: Objectives, go for it, challenges, perseverance, efforts, planning, creativity, confidence, love what you do, respect your values, love people and have fun.

  • Negotiating with difficult personalities

    In this lecture, we will discuss some common obstacles that arise in negotiations. It often happens that we negotiate with people who have more aggressive, rigid or other personalities. We will evaluate the best methods to succeed in our negotiations despite these personalities that can be destabilizing. It is important to learn how to negotiate well with all types of personalities, not just those that are close to our style.

    How I broke into the inner circle of NFL agents

    Sasha Ghavami, 29, is a lawyer and football agent for over 30 clients, among others. Among his clients is his long-time friend, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. At just 22 years old, Sasha helped Laurent reach the NFL and sign a lucrative contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. An excellent negotiator, creative and original, this little guy shares their road to the NFL.

Biography of Sasha Ghavami :

A lawyer by training, Sasha Ghavami focuses his practice on negotiation strategies. For example, he is often called upon to negotiate agreements in the legal environment as well as to find solutions to settle disputes between parties. He uses creativity and originality to propose the most satisfactory outcomes for all parties involved.

Sasha is also an athlete manager and a certified player agent for the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has over 30 established clients in both leagues. He is also President of VA-AS Recrutement Universitaire inc. As part of his duties, he handles the negotiation of employment contracts between players and professional teams, canvassing and sponsorship agreements, and the career and post-career management of athletes. His clients include Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (former NFL player, Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets), Antony Auclair (Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2017-2021, Houston Texans 2021-2022), Ryan Hunter (Toronto Argonauts) and Mathieu Betts (British Columbia Lions).
