Claude Guévin's lectures

Claude Guévin, CPA, CA, is currently a corporate director, speaker and consultant.

He was president of Lou-Tec Group Inc. from 2012 to 2018. Lou-Tec is the largest network of heavy machinery, equipment and tool rental centres in Eastern Canada.

During his tenure at the helm of the company, Mr. Guévin completed three major mergers and acquisitions and the company recorded annual growth of over 15%, the highest in its industry.

Mr. Guévin has also held various positions within Rona over the past 25 years, including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2001.

He has been at the heart of the major strategic directions and a major contributor to the company's transformation from a cooperative to a national leader, with sales of over $6 billion.

He also led the initial public offering and listing of Rona.

A recognized leader in negotiation, he has completed more than 30 major acquisitions in Canada generating $3.5 billion in sales and has led the real estate development and construction of the country's big box stores.

Mr. Guévin received the CFO of the Year award from CFO Canada in 2008.

He is currently Vice-President of the Marie-Vincent Foundation and the Marie-Vincent Centre of Expertise.

Having worked in private and public companies in the retail and distribution sectors, he knows how to create and innovate in the development of a business plan.
