About Bruno Guglielminetti

Today an independent digital consultant, Bruno Guglielminetti previously served as General Manager of the Digital Division at Groupe Juste Pour Rire / Just For Laughs. Prior to that, he was Digital Practice Director at the PR firm NATIONAL for four years, where he led the Montreal digital team.

On a daily basis, he advises NATIONAL clients on their communication strategies across digital platforms — the Internet, social media, and apps — whether in a business, public communication, or crisis management context.

However, it was during his 23 years at Radio-Canada that the public got to know him. From 1987 to 2010, he worked as both a program producer and the broadcaster’s in-house technology specialist. Before leaving the public broadcaster, he directed the first four seasons of the show Christiane Charette on Première Chaîne.

Since 1994, Bruno Guglielminetti has focused on the convergence of traditional media and new technologies, and more recently, on the impact of social media on society. He launched the first French-language program available on the Internet (Radionet@), as well as the first web coverage of an election or referendum night in Canada.

As a host, trainer, and speaker, he now shares his expertise in digital communications in both Canada and France. He also analyzes technology news in traditional media and provides exclusive content through his personal platforms: his blog, his podcast Mon Carnet, and his newsletter 120 secondes de Tech. Through these three complementary media, he reaches an average of 1.5 million French speakers each week, who rely on him for concise digital news updates.

In parallel with his radio work, Bruno Guglielminetti contributed to print media for 13 years. From 1996 to 2003, he wrote a column for the Montreal daily La Presse, and from 2005 to 2010 for Le Devoir.

Author of the bestseller Les 1000 meilleurs sites en français de la planète (published by Logique), he received the “Communicator of the Year” award in 2003 from the International Association of Communication Professionals.

In 2004, the OQLF awarded him the Mérite de la langue française in the field of new technologies. In May 2009, he received the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance’s Excellence in Science and Technology Journalism Award in Ottawa, which recognized him as “Canada’s Fernand Séguin of high-tech.”
