Paul Larocque, speaker is very well known to the Quebec public. host of La Joute and Le Bilan on LCN, he is THE network’s specialist in political analysis and coverage. He made his media debut in 1977 ashost on several Quebec radio stations. In 1992, Paul made the leap to TVA as Parliamentary Correspondent at the Quebec National Assembly, a position he held until 2006. He has also covered many major international events, including 2 conclaves, which he considers the most interesting events to cover. In 2022, Paul Larocque celebrates 30 years of television at TVA/LCN. He speaks French, English and Portuguese!

He has built his career on values such as integrity, transparency and rigour. About Paul Larocque

Journalist and host for over 40 years, Paul Larocque, speaker is a leading light in news at TVA and LCN. After studying Media Arts and Technologies at the Cégep de Jonquière, Paul began his journalistic career in 1977, during René Lévesque’s first term in office.

He was a parliamentary correspondent at the National Assembly and a foreign correspondent. He has reported extensively on the Oka crisis and the 1995 Quebec referendum, as well as abroad, in Israel and Haiti, not to mention two conclaves in Rome.

During his years of covering national and federal politics, he has built credibility as a serious journalist and has become an excellent popularizer of information.

TELEVISION CAREER

Co-host of Michel C. Auger at Larocque-Auger broadcasted on the TVA network from January 2005 to April 2006.

In 2006, co-host of TVA 17 heures and TVA 18 heures with Pierre Bruneau, from Monday to Friday, on the TVA network. Substitute anchor for the network’s newscasts.

Co-host with former MP and Minister Jean Lapierre (1956-2016) of the Sunday political program Larocque-Lapierre broadcast on the TVA network from April 2007 until 2016.

Host J.E. program from September 2013 through 2018.

Host of the popular political commentary show La Joute, since 2016.

Host of the program Le Bilan since September 2021.
