Biography of Bruno Guglielminetti :

Now an independent digital consultant, Bruno Guglielminetti was previously Managing Director of the Digital Division of the Just For Laughs Group. Prior to that, he was Director of the Digital Practice at NATIONAL Public Relations for 4 years. There he leads the Montreal digital team.

On a day-to-day basis, he advises NATIONAL's clients on their communication strategy with the various digital platforms. This includes the use of the Internet, social networks and applications in a business or crisis management context.

But it was during his 23 years at Radio-Canada that the public discovered him. From 1987 to 2010, he was both a program producer and the in-house specialist in new technologies at Radio-Canada. Before leaving the public broadcaster, he produced the first four seasons of the show Christiane Charette on the Première chaîne.

Since 1994, Bruno Guglielminetti has been interested in the convergence of traditional media, new technologies and, more recently, the impact of social networks in our societies. In fact, he was responsible for the first French-language program available on the Internet (Radionet@), as well as the first election or referendum coverage on the Internet in Canada.

In parallel to his activities as a producer and columnist for Radio-Canada, Bruno Guglielminetti worked in the written press for 13 years. From 1996 to 2003, he wrote a column in the Montreal daily La Presse. From 2005 to June 2010, he wrote a weekly column in the daily newspaper Le Devoir.

He is the author of the best-selling book "Les 1000 meilleurs sites en français de la planète" published by Logique. In 2003, he received the Communicator of the Year Award from the International Association of Communication Professionals.

En 2004, l’OQLF lui remet le Mérite de la langue française dans le domaine des nouvelles technologies. En mai 2009, il reçoit le prix d’Excellence dans le journalisme scientifique et technique de la Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance à Ottawa. Un hommage qui le consacre comme « le Fernand Séguin du high-tech » au Canada.
