Discovery and tasting activity for children aged 4 to 10.

We spend our entire adult lives chasing our childhood dreams.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who discovered a giant chocolate bar, and who, as an adult, loved to create in this chocolate world and tell others about her passion. How our childhood dreams become tomorrow’s passions.

Lola Chocolat is the story I want to tell to children all over the world. This tender tale exudes Costa Rican joie de vivre (Pura Vida!), and chocolate is explained with simplicity and poetry!

A fun mix of reading and learning about where chocolate comes from and how it’s made. All with a very special tasting at the end.

About Geneviève Grandbois

A chocolatier in perpetual search of meaning and evolution and passionate about Qi Gong and wellness, Geneviève Grandbois, speaker has an entrepreneurial spirit from a very young age. At the age of eight, she started selling cards that she drew herself to tourists on Prince Arthur Street in Montreal. Business was so good that she invited a group of friends to make the cards for her.

It was only at the dawn of her twenties that Geneviève Grandbois fell in love with chocolate. Determined to perfect her knowledge of chocolate making, she took advanced courses in Quebec and Belgium. One year later, in 1997, she opened her first chocolate factory, Maison Cakao. In 2000, she began to give conferences in the field of entrepreneurship. In 2002, after four years spent maturing her new project, experimenting and refining her recipes, she launched, under her own name, the new line of chocolates of her dreams: Chocolats Geneviève Grandbois.

In the first five years, the company opened four boutiques (Atwater, Saint-Viateur, Quartier DIX30, Monkland) and established a loyal distribution network in fine grocery stores and specialty shops as well as with numerous corporate clients.

In 2007, in a concern of ethics, the company acquires a cocoa plantation in Costa Rica. Five years later, a first harvest allows Geneviève Grandbois to hope to produce her own cocoa (the best!) and, in the near future, to control this raw material; from its plantation to its distribution.

The young chocolatier’s audacity charmed the media, which invited her to appear on several television programs and was widely quoted in magazines and newspapers. A businesswoman committed to her community, she creates inspiring projects, supports causes and accompanies entrepreneurs.

In 2013, following her aspirations, Genevieve published her first book, Passion Chocolate.

It was after a tipping point, an accident that forced her to live differently, that her inner quest intensified. She then committed herself to devote her life to being WELL (in body, heart, mind and relationships) and to share her knowledge, with the goal of inspiring entrepreneurs/organizations to maximize their positive impact.

Since the creation of her company, Geneviève Grandbois has been involved in the community in different ways. In 2015, her life as an entrepreneur was transformed and Geneviève decided to share her tools to be well in her life through conferences, coaching and training.
