Knowing how to delegate

J’imagine que plusieurs de mes clients sont très occupés ces temps-ci, parce qu’on me demande régulièrement de parler de « Gestion de temps ». Donc, afin de rester dans le thème, voici quelques conseils pour apprendre à déléguer de la bonne façon.

Delegating means giving someone else a task that you are already doing and taking that time to do more important things (or even thinking).

  • You don't just delegate tasks you don't like
  • Poor delegation does not save time
  • There is a distinction between delegating a TASK and delegating a RESPONSIBILITY

Some ideas for delegating a task:

  1. Choose the right person (who has an affinity to do the task)
  2. Give them a clear mandate and timeframe
  3. Give them the tools and training they need
  4. Remain available
  5. Give thanks and value

Some ideas for delegating responsibility:

  1. Choose the right person
  2. Delegate end goals, not "how to do it
  3. Give a clear mandate, share all necessary skills and information
  4. Also delegate the decision-making power inherent in this responsibility
  5. Have a verification system (reporting or monitoring)
  6. Praise and reward according to the work done
